+I coach something you don't list — can I still join?
Yes. Bowling, chess, golf, swimming, skating — if it's legal, safe, and coachable, we want you. Pick 'something else' on the application and tell us what you teach; if you pass vetting we create the category and you launch it.
+What does it cost to join?
Nothing. No signup fee, no monthly fee. We take 15% of lessons booked through the platform — you keep 85%. Founding coaches pay 0% for their first 90 days.
+How do I get paid?
Students pay online when a lesson is confirmed. Your payout is guaranteed and lands after the lesson — no chasing e-transfers, no no-show losses on confirmed bookings.
+What's the vetting process?
A short interview, credential verification, and attestation to liability insurance — then our CoachingConnect Certification program: self-paced training on lesson design, communication, consent-first corrections, and coaching kids, seniors and people with disabilities, finished with an exam. Pass it and your profile goes live with the Certified badge. It's free, and it makes you better at the job.
+Do I set my own rates and schedule?
Yes, both. You set your rate, your neighbourhoods, and your weekly availability. Change them anytime.
+What if a student cancels?
Cancellations under 24 hours are charged 50%, no-shows 100% — you're compensated for held time.
